Description of the Position

  • The Human Resources Coordinator is a junior position that aids the Cluster hotel team and HR department with everyday responsibilities and initiatives. The Human Resources Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for team members with HR-related questions; essential tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Engage and bond with team members by providing proactive and helpful Human Resources services.
  • Ensure that the Human Resources administration of team members’ files is maintained up-to-date at all times, and that weekly filing is completed to meet HR standards and audit requirements.
  • Ensure that new hires have a smooth transition, give team members a warm welcome on their first day, and stick to the onboarding timeline.
  • Assist with the departure of team players and offer the necessary assistance to the departing players and the department.
  • Assist Payroll and Finance with monthly attendance to ensure that payroll is processed on time and accurately.
  • Verify the Payroll Draft and update the Cluster monthly Payroll Forecast.
  • Assist with employee engagement by planning monthly social events and activities, including periodic incentives and recognition programmes and birthday celebrations, according to the agreed-upon yearly calendar.
  • Propose fresh ideas for improving employee health and well-being.
  • Perform regular responsibilities related to the administration and execution of human resource programmes, as well as the administration of an efficient flow of paperwork pertaining to team members.
  • As needed, update the personnel database and HR system.
  • Answer questions about employment from applicants, workers, and departments, forwarding difficult and/or sensitive issues to the right individuals.
  • Assist HR generalists and the public relations team with OHC, medical schedules, and database updates.
  • Follow corporate and HR SOPs, the law and legal requirement changes, and, if required, participate as an arbitrator.
  • New hires, internal transfers, and promotions should all be announced.
  • To keep par stock, raise requisitions in the materials control system.
  • As needed, assist the HR staff with initiatives and activities.
  • Desired Expertise & Skill:
  • Worked in a comparable position in a 4/5-star hotel.
  • Excellent mastery of the English language (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Interpersonal, negotiating, and conflict resolution abilities are exceptional.
  • Excellent organising and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Excellent time management abilities, as well as a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • Capacity to operate with honesty, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Employment-related rules and regulations are well-versed.
  • Microsoft Office or similar applications is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in administration or an area related to human resources is required.
  • Experience as an HR Intern in the UAE is desirable.
