Summary of responsibilities

We’re searching for a Regional Snr Operations Manager to join our team and focus on expanding our own Grocery Store “tMart,” the region’s first cloud store concept that offers 30-minute grocery delivery at hypermarket costs. The service is now available in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, and Oman, and it is rapidly growing into Iraq.

Hypermarket Job Recruitment in Dubai: Qualification & Past Experience?

  • Support the regional fulfillment director to define strategic Operations guidelines and communicating them to all Country operations for implementation
  • Enable local teams to identify and address process breakpoints and capitalize on process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure new stores regionally are opened on time and on budget while business needs, quality standards, and safety requirements are met
  • Ensure that store build outs effectively support operational efficiency, capacity utilization, and inventory integrity goals
  • Improve Operations processes, policies, and practices to achieve company’s goals and ensure Operations / stores adhere to company-wide laid down rules and guidelines
  • Ensure accomplishment/continuous improvement of current performance versus accepted standard/best practices at the Store Operations (i.e. stock level, productivity, service level, …)
  • Develop and implementing mechanisms and tools to enable progress tracking and store portfolio visibility and reporting
  • Collaborate with local teams to build, identify, analyze, and document all key operational processes driving day to day store operations
  • Develop training methods, tools and capabilities for local operations teams
  • Work closely with the Technology team to build tools and capabilities to automate key processes and eliminate process breakpoints
  • Create and document new processes, tools and standards for management of critical projects within store operations
  • Provide local Operations managers the best practices to Managing the full country operations end-to-end (Inventory management, Pick-pack process , Property / Asset management , Operational standards , Expense control , Maintenance related)
  • 1- Inventory management: Ensure correct processes, policies and proper execution of inventory management (stock-in and stock-out). Shrink / Expiry control & Quality focus ( in terms of inventory no damaged or poor Fresh Food quality ; Close to Expiry) across all countries
  • 2- Pick-pack process: Ensure efficient and correct Pick and Pack process and service level (starting with ensuring availability ,picking up the correct item / qty at the correct price) & Proper management of the staffing and scheduling as per demand to achieve desired UTR and service level
  • 3- Property / Asset Management: Proper management of the property and facility , Plus Asset management and tracking
  • 4- Expense control: Identify potential opportunities to reduce expense and maintain it be below a set 5 target (E.g., Consumables, personnel, . . .)
  • Drive continuous improvement and actively find opportunities and areas for optimization across all countries
  • Coordinate the roll-out of new products and features as well as the implementation of a variety of operational initiatives aiming at achieving defined standards of service, quality, accuracy and productivity. The projects’ focus will be broad and exciting ranging from improving warehouse capacity utilization, driving picker productivity to increasing inventory accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and actively find opportunities and areas for optimization in tMart operations.
  • Prepare Operations report to measure the KPIs and provide a full analysis enabling management to adopt the proper corrective decisions
