Stock up on spirits, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware, and condiments for the bar sections. Have a thorough understanding of all goods provided, including port, sherry, Armagnac, eau de vie, cognac, and other digestifs, as well as unique mocktails and cocktails. Develop a thorough understanding of the menu items, including their ingredients and preparation. During service, check, maintain, and recheck the bar/s. Ring up sales, print checks, close checks, and complete closing readings using the hotel’s point of sale system. Ensure that drinks are properly poured, mixed, blended, and so on. Replace ashtrays, serve smokes and cigars, upsell shisha when it’s available, and clean up the bar area. Answer phones in a Four Seasons-like manner, taking reservations or providing information about the lounge or other hotel services. Recognize and deal with inebriated, unruly, or unwelcome people. Any mishap, no matter how slight, should be reported to a manager right away. Avoid or deal with a guest leaving. The ability to respond appropriately in any emergency or safety issue that may arise in a hotel. The capacity to transport trays, bus tables, and re-set them with linen, china, glass, and silver The ability to assess a guest’s contentment and fix any issues that arise, including telling a manager of the issue and how it was resolved. Take an active role in implementing and following up on safety practises within the department. In any hotel emergency or safety situation, act appropriately.
